Nothing wrong with a lateral move.People make lateral moves all the time.Also, just because you meet the expectations of the job description, Does not mean you will not grow. You will!The job description is a foundational starting point.Your role, trajectory and growth will surpass what you read.You meet 70/80%+ of the job and want to apply? Go for it.You are fully qualified and want to apply? Go for it.Stop telling job-seekers that lateral moves are silly. They have a place.
