The program aimed at stimulating the economy. It was intended to encourage foreign investors to invest capital in the US and create jobs.In 1992, Congress created the Immigrant Investor Program. An E-2 Treaty Investor applicant must show an investment of personal funds, but your investment funds can be gifted to you by your family or even friends. The funds do not have to come directly from the E-2 treaty country.Our client from Australia had savings of $15,000 and the remaining investment of $85,000 was gifted to him by his father. His father's funds were transferred from Europe to the U.S.2. An E-2 Treaty Investor applicant is not required to have a Bachelor's or University degree. A degree is not a prerequisite to qualify for an E-2 visa. There is a way to irrevocably commit your funds without having to spend everything, which is a great way to minimize the risk of losing money on the part of the treaty investor.4. There are no strict restrictions in terms of what your E-2 company can do. The E-2 company must provide a service or sell products. Of course, the business must be legitimate.
