Folks, this is SUPER easy! All you have to do is dump all of your ingredients in your Instant Pot. Give them a good stir. Seal your Instant Pot and set it on manual for 6 minutes. It will natural release pretty quickly. Once the pressure pin drops, open it up, give it another good stir and serve! Easy peasy!

This is soooo good! I also got the burn message so I added more broth but I still got the message. Took everything out cleaned the instant pot and put everything back. Worked perfectly after that. My family loved it. Next time I will tray and add the liquid first and mix the chicken in so it doesn’t stick on the bottom.

I’m sorry to hear that Cathy! Altitude can affect how much liquid is needed. You might try adding an extra 1/2 cup of broth next time. Other readers who have had trouble with the burn message have also tried a double broiler method. I hope this helps!

      Hi Angie!

I haven’t tried this with the bagged cubed chicken. If I did, I would use the full 2 lbs. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!

When it says “three small tubes”, do you know what size? I have the 16oz size. Thanks!

      Hi Renne!

The ones I used were 7.5 oz tubes. The ones that you can buy individually or in a 4 pack. Enjoy!

My chicken was still raw. I didn’t think 6 minutes would be enough.

      Hi Ashley!

I hate to hear that this didn’t work out for you. The only thing I can think of was that possibly your chicken wasn’t cubed or something went wrong with your instant pot.

My instant pot said burn before it even got pressurized. What can I do to stop this from happening?

      Hi Mandy!

I’m sorry to hear that! How much liquid that is required to come to pressure can depend on where you are located (altitude) and what size of instant pot you are using. Try using an extra 1/2 cup of broth. I hope this helps!

      @Mandi,
I got the “Burn” message as well. I cancelled the cook, cleaned out the Instant Pot and added more broth and got the “burn” method again. I tried setting a second pot inside my IP pot, like a double boiler. The below are my steps.
      1,Add water to IP pot
      2. Insert trivet
      3. Place pot containing dumplings on trivet (cover pot with foil)

Seems this is a necessary step with any creamy recipe

In some of your videos I see you use a tool that looks like a stick with a cross at the bottom. I have seen you use it when chopping up raw hamburger in the crockpot. What is that tool called, and where could I find one? I searched Walmart today without any luck. Thank You.

      Hi Monica!

Some companies call it a Mix ‘n Chop, others call it a multi-tool. Here is a referral link to one we like: http://amzn.to/2DxPebY

Hi Aunt Lou – Great recipe but I cut it down to make two servings – since there is only me. I also made two changes/additions: I added 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1/2 teaspoon of Mrs. Dash Original Season. I also added a 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. For the soup I used Campbell’s Healthy Request Cream of Chicken soup – this soup has no MSG which is good since I am highly allergic to MSG and it is also low sodium so it is easy for you to control the salt when you cook. I don’t have an InstaPot but I do have a 10 quart Power XL electric pressure cooker. I pressed the chicken icon, locked the top down and cooked it for 6 minutes and then did a natural release. OMG!!! Fantastic. Thanks for posting this recipe. And please keep them coming. My first pressure cooker was over 40 years old and had belonged to my mom – so I have been using them a long time and swear by them for cooking fast, great meals.
