This year, 72 new models competed for the prestigious title. Through a preliminary poll, readers of AUTO BILD, its European partners, and BILD am SONNTAG newspaper selected the top vehicles. The final three in each category then underwent rigorous testing by a jury at the Lausitzring circuit in Germany. The jury, comprising trade journalists, racing drivers, and celebrity car enthusiasts, evaluated the models across 17 categories, including drive, chassis, design, quality, sustainability, price-performance, safety, and fuel efficiency.
